Cycle Against Suicide

Cycle against Suicide Event is coming to Maghera and needs your help!

Suicide is claiming the lives of at least 800 people each year on the island of Ireland.  These people include fathers and mothers, wives and husbands, sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, best friends and colleagues.  Cycle Against Suicide is a voluntary organization that aims to:

Ø  Raise Awareness of this prevalent issue

Ø  Offer reassurance that it’s OK not to feel OK; and it’s absolutely OK to ask for help

Ø  Direct people in need to where this critical help is available both locally and nationally.

Cycle Against Suicide is for everyone, not just the cyclists.  We are looking for home owners to open their doors to our cyclists, volunteers, marshals/stewards, sandwich makers, tea pourers, venue owners, celebrities, journalists, bloggers, tweeters and people to just support and cheer on our cyclists along the way.

Cycle Against Suicide isn’t about raising money it’s about raising awareness. However, if you would like to fundraise or donate, the Cycle Against Suicide www.MyCharity.ie account is OPEN!

Together, shoulder-to-shoulder, we can break the Cycle of Suicide on the island of Ireland!
